Family Chores: How it makes your family strongerFamily chores make your family stronger. At least that is what they say, so how can do chores as a family makes your family stronger?
If you do chores together, essentially, you are going to be spending time together. Many families spend little or no time together. So, starting a family chore day, morning, or even hour will greatly increase the amount of time you spend as a family. And, any time is better than no time. Enjoy! Learn teamwork skills; even people in the same family have different ways of doing things. When you do chores as a family, you have to learn to work with each other. This is a skill that will benefit you in all aspects of your life, from school to work and even in play. So, one of the big benefits of family chores is that you learn applicable life skills. Learning to work together makes your family stronger as well. Many hands make light work. So, if you do family chores and you work together, the work gets done much faster, and you have more time to play. When you play as a family, you make great memories and build friendships. Friendship is the basis of any great relationship. So, work together, so you have time to play together and become a stronger family. If you do family chores, your children learn how to contribute, and they learn a great life lesson-nothing comes free. Children who are given everything on a platter never learn how to earn things for themselves. When they are cut loose, will they be able to stand on their own two feet? Will they be able to work for things? Or will they be leaning on you even in their 30's? Family chores make your family stronger because your children learn to appreciate what they have. Doing family chores can help your children to develop a sense of pride. Working for something, or on something, helps you invest yourself in it, and thus when you have an accomplishment, you feel pride. If your children have to clean the bathroom, they will take pride in themselves and the way it looks. They will be less likely to leave their clothes on the floor, toothpaste on the counter, etc. Suddenly they will take notice of how their actions impact your home. Your family will get stronger, your house will stay cleaner, and you will enjoy more time together. Doing chores as a family will make your family stronger by helping your children to develop a better work ethic. This work ethic will carry over into other areas of their life, such as homework and relationships. They will work harder to develop, strengthen, and maintain familial relationships. So, work side by side, and teach your children the importance of working hard and working for something. You can show your children by example the importance of everyone doing their part. When you do family chores, if everyone, including mom and dad, has an assignment, you give your children the opportunity to see you in action and practicing what you preach. This will make your family stronger because it will give your children newfound respect for you, as well as the opportunity to learn by example. Which, by the way, is the best way to teach. So, make your family stronger by doing family chores, whether it is once a day or once a week. If your family is in need of a relationship boost, implement family chores. |
